How Each Home Comes Together

A clear and consistent approach, carried through from the first conversation to final completion

Where It Begins

Every project begins with a conversation. It’s an opportunity to understand your vision, your expectations, and whether our approach is the right fit.

From there, we typically meet with you on-site to gather the information needed for the build or renovation. We discuss design direction, building style, conceptual drawings, budget considerations, and the anticipated construction timeline, while also answering any questions you may have.

For custom homes, we also look closely at the site itself, including access, landscape and topography, positioning of the home, views, privacy, and any local building restrictions.

Planning And Collaboration

Once aligned, we move into planning and early-stage collaboration.

Using the information gathered during our initial meeting, we begin shaping a preliminary design that reflects your goals, the site, and the early construction budget. At this stage, we enter into a pre-construction agreement and begin discussing the design in greater detail, including preferred finishes, fixtures, and appliances.

We also provide an initial cost breakdown based on conceptual drawings or preliminary plans, creating a clear foundation for everything that follows.

Building From The Ground Up

Once the design is sufficiently developed, we move into contract, budget, approvals, and permits.

At this stage, both parties enter into a construction contract and commit to moving forward with the project. We provide an itemized budget and proceed with the permissions, approvals, and building permits required before construction can begin.

Once surveying and permitting are complete, the site is prepared for building activity. For custom homes, this includes excavation, rough-ins for plumbing and electrical, foundation work, framing, and roofing. As construction progresses, key finish decisions are also finalized, including windows and doors, lighting, cabinetry, countertops, flooring, and appliances.

Detail And Finishing

As the home begins to take shape, attention shifts toward the details that define the finished space.

Cabinetry, millwork, custom elements, and finish selections are developed and carried through with the same level of care as the structure itself. Every decision is made with the full home in mind, ensuring that materials, proportions, and details feel consistent throughout.

Completion And Handover

Completion is the result of every stage being carried through properly from the beginning.

Before the home is handed over, each detail is reviewed, refined, and resolved. The home is professionally cleaned prior to the final walk-through, and we provide a hands-on demonstration along with a detailed homeowner’s manual so you feel fully familiar with its features and systems.
